Image result for MY TIME

Three weeks ago we started my time. My time is where you choose something you want to do and get a buddy or a group of 3 to 4 and every friday you get to do what you chose to do. Everyone in the class did different things e.g tie dye, basketball, cooking and other things. At the end of the term we will all share what we did. We all had to draw up a proposal before we could start and Mrs rendall had to accept them. Everybody is doing something that involves learning somehow like basketball you can learn how to do different skills.

Science/ Procedural Writing

Week 9

This Wednesday we did some science. We researched more than 1 experiment. Next we had to do them but we had to make sure that we had all the stuff at school.
Some people used food colouring, string, plastic cups and lots of others. We had lots of fun doing different projects. Then we wrote a procedural writing piece about the steps to creating what some of the students had made.

Rippa Rugby

On Thursday week 7 Stanley avenue school did rippa rugby there was a man called Bill that did it with us, and it was pretty cool. We all teamed up one on one as we worked on some skills. Then we got into three teams. Two teams were playing and the other team was on the sideline. We had three minutes of playing time and then switched over as the losing team stayed and the winning team went off. Overall we all had a really fun and enjoyable time and we hope you did too.

Sunday, 19 March 2017

On the 2nd of March 2017 Stanley ave held a twilight gala. It was on the back field and they held all sorts of stalls. It had rock climbing, paint ball, bumper balls, hang on the jeans, decorate your own cupcake, ice skating, guess the teacher- which had their baby photos, and a live band where Mr Spicer sang. There was also a spin the wheel, which was when you spun the wheel and won prizes, and a sausage sizzle (which was really yum).
A big thankyou to all the volunteers we couldn't have done it without you.
Altogether it was a really fun afternoon at the gala and we hope more people come next year.

Waimarino

Image result for Waimarino

Last week the senior syndicate went to Waimarino for year 7\8. There was the blob which you had to wear a life jacket and a helmet. There was the UFO it had a trampoline and a mini blob, a slide and a rolling pin. There is a big diving board and a little diving board and a rope swing it was a long drive but it was all worth it. There was also a slide Mrs Rendell has still got a sore bum from it. The first half of the day we got to enjoy all of these activities. The second half we spent it kayaking. The kayaking was lots of fun, but mine tipped over and sunk. Lots of people showed they had some skills standing in the kayaks and we had to make long chains called rafting-up. It was heaps of fun.
