Mining trip
Last week on Friday, rooms 1,2 and 3 went to Waihi for a school trip about mining. We went to Martha mine, the discovery centre and and the education centre. In the education centre groups got to find real gold and the group with the most gold got to take some real gold home. When we went to Martha mine we got to have a guided bus tour around some of the places where the gold, silver and rock had to go. In the discovery centre we got to look at things like miniature sets and there was a ghost theatre but don't be fooled. The story in the ghost theatre was about a miner getting ready for his wedding day. All in all everyone had an awesome day and we also learnt heaps about mining.
